The title of this exhibition came long after I began painting. Originally, I was thinking about water, a main theme in my works. But this time, I wanted to touch upon water as an equal partner to, and collaborator with, the sun and the moon. I wanted to take the traditional interpretation (the gravitational pull of the sun and moon on the bodies of water) to the next level. As in the multiverse, or parallel universes or of string theory where scientists have posited numerous dimensions of space and a dimension of time, or how gravity and quantum physics fit together. So I began my exploration of the interconnection of water with stars, space and the layers of life on earth and beyond.
